Larkin Poe.

Rebecca & Megan Lovell, the beautiful gal duo that make up Larkin Poe, are two of the coolest girls and musicians that I have had the honor of working with. We shot for the new EP package they are putting together for each season. Spring & Summer are already available sooooo I highly suggest to go grab them now! Check out their site to hear their music: www.larkinpoe.com.

    Hi Brian,

    These photos are awesome! I love the light & composition, especially the one with Rebecca & Megan outside with the old house in the background. Excellent photo…

    If I may ask, what was the lighting setup for these shots? Are you still using the Alien Bees? If so, which ones? Did you use any other modifiers aside from the softbox (size??) ?

    Thanks so much for sharing..hope all is well. If you ever get out to the great Northwest, let me know…would be great to meet up.

    Cheers!
    Alim =)

      Hey Alim!

      Thanks so much for the rad words as always 🙂 The lighting set up for these shots varied on where we were and the ambient lighting as the day progressed. The first shots were shot with the Alienbee B1600 with a 40′ shoot-through umbrella. The first few shots in the house were shot with a grid, 20 degree I think. The kitchen shots were shot with the AB and the 28′ Softbox. The First shots of the fields were shot with my Canon 580EX II with the shoot-through umbrella. The last few were shot with the AB and I believe again, the 20 degree grid.

      Thanks again for keeping up with me Alim. I might be out in the Northeast this February so I’ll let you know man 🙂 I hope all is well.

    Hey Brian,

    Thanks for much for the share! I’ve been wanting to invest in a big light(s) for a while now, but priorities have shifted a bit with family on the way! 🙂

    In the meantime, I’ve been trying to research and read everything I can. I really need to pick up the camera again…missin’ it a lot!

    Stay in touch for sure…and will chat soon.

    All the best.
